With The Utopia Blueprint, we’ll piece together one possible future bit by bit, by examining works of media and current events which suggest not only the makeup of an egalitarian tomorrow, but our path to reach it.
Part of the ongoing project is to democratically define utopia, both by exploring existing theories and by, hopefully, crowdsourcing ideas. Certainly, we can say “equality” and “peace,” for example, but people may disagree on what these terms should really mean. As a start, I’d love to steer away from old and ancient futurists, who’d speak of utopia and racial purity as one. Our utopia is shared, inclusive, and beyond that, still to be defined.
